Terms of Use

Short version: Memory Weaver offers a one-time 30-day free trial of its AI features and optional auto-renewable Plus subscriptions that include a monthly AI allowance. Local study and review features remain available without a subscription. By using the app you accept these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Memory Weaver (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms of Use are in addition to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies to your use of the App.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial study and learning purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the App.

3. The Service — No Guarantee of Continuity

Memory Weaver includes AI-powered features (“Weave” and “AI Tutor”) that depend on a hosted backend service and third-party AI providers. These features require an active internet connection.

We do not guarantee that the App or any part of it will remain available, unchanged, or free of charge. We reserve the right, at any time and without prior notice, to:

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of material changes via an App Store update description or an in-app notice. However, we are not obligated to do so.

Your locally stored data (flashcards, books, review history, streaks) is stored on your device and remains accessible to you regardless of backend service availability, unless you uninstall the App.

4. Free Trial, Plus Subscriptions, and Quotas

The App is free to download. New users receive a one-time 30-day free trial that includes up to 300 combined Weave and AI Tutor sessions. After the trial ends, AI features require an active Memory Weaver Plus subscription. An active Plus subscription includes 300 combined AI sessions per month. Local PDF storage, flashcards, summaries, and review sessions do not consume this AI quota and remain free to use.

Plus Monthly is billed monthly and Plus Annual is billed yearly at the localized price displayed by the App Store before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. The app also provides Restore Purchases. Refund requests and billing disputes are handled by Apple under its applicable policies.

We have no obligation to provide compensation, refunds, or alternative service if the free quota is reduced or eliminated.

5. Your Content

You are solely responsible for the PDF files and other materials you import into the App. You represent that you have the right to use, upload, and process any content you submit through the App.

Do not submit through the App any content that is illegal, infringes on third-party rights, or contains sensitive personal information about others (including student records, medical records, or confidential business data).

We do not claim ownership of content you import. Content stored locally on your device is yours. Text you submit through the AI feature is processed transiently and is not retained by us after your session completes (see our Privacy Policy for details).

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated flashcard content will be accurate or complete. AI output should be reviewed for correctness before use in academic or professional settings.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50), OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer of Memory Weaver from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of content that infringes on third-party rights.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer is domiciled, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will endeavor to provide notice via the App Store update description or within the App.
